Why the order matters
Washing a contaminated panel is how swirl marks are made. Bonded iron particles, tar and overspray have to come off chemically and mechanically before anything touches the paint with pressure.
Cleaning, claying and polishing your vehicle's paintwork are all part of proper exterior detailing. Skip a step and you either leave the contamination in place or you grind it into the clear coat.
Protection is the last step and the one that decides how long the work lasts. A hand wax holds for weeks, a sealant for months, a ceramic coating for years.
What gets done
Wash stage
- pH neutral foam bath hand wash
- Wheels, tires, wheel wells and door jambs cleaned
- Wheel barrels decontaminated, including tar removal
- Blow dried with compressed air, no towel marring
Finish stage
- Clay treatment where contamination calls for it
- Headlamp and molding polishing available
- Hand wax, sealant or ceramic coating depending on the package
- Tire dressing and engine bay dressing

What it costs.
Every vehicle is different. Final pricing depends on condition, size and the services selected.
Exterior work is included in every package. A hand wash, wheels, jambs, compressed air dry, hand wax and tire dressing come inside the Basic Maintenance Clean at $149 and $179. Engine bay cleaning and a three month paint protective sealant come with the Full Detail. A clay treatment and one step machine polish come with the Mobile Premium Detail at $550, $650 and $750.

How is this different from a car wash?
A car wash removes loose dirt. Exterior detailing removes bonded contamination, corrects the surface where it can be corrected, and then protects it. The finish and the longevity are not comparable.
Do you clean the engine bay?
Yes, engine bay cleaning and dressing are included from the Full Detail upward.
What protection is applied?
A hand wax on the Basic Maintenance Clean, a three month paint protective sealant on the Full Detail and Mobile Premium Detail, or a System X ceramic coating as a separate service.
Can you polish headlights and trim?
Headlamp and molding polishing can be included. Ask when you request your quote.
